Zits And Dishes...A Perfect Combo;)

I am going to be MIA today and Friday because it just so happens that my busiest week of work to date, is the same week that I have to pack up the kitchen. Yep, you heard right....

We are remodeling our kitchen!!!!! Eeeekk. I am so excited I cant handle it. I am a little nervous to not have a kitchen for (hopefully only) two weeks-but man oh man will it be worth it. I will put up our 'plans' for it next week! Until then, I'll be popping peoples zits and packing up my dishes:)
Excited to say goodbye to this kitchen:):)

Because Who Doesn't Love Card Catalogs...

We purchased some new card catalogs, but sadly this time we bought to strictly re-sell, not to have fun with:( Anyway- I thought y'all would like to see them anyways..and please forgive for the quality of the photos- of course I forgot my camera that night, so these are simply iPhone pics.

To start- I felt like we were making some sort of drug deal, you know, the ones where you deal in card catalogs..it seemed shady. We had the CCs brought in from Cali...
Here is the first one:
And the second:

I was pretty bummed that we couldn't keep these beauties for ourselves..
 but I still am in love with the one we did:)
Maybe one day J and I will get over our addiction to CCs, but until then we will keep hunting for them:)

Christmas Tree: Money Saving Tips and Ugly Ornaments

That is our tree. Its a 7 foot beauty that is almost too tall for the room, but we love it.

Now I know everyone is different in how they decorate their tree. There are those who do all matching and good looking ornaments, those who do all random and meaningful ornaments, and then theres us: we do a combo of it all!

I'll showcase some of the meaningful ornaments that don't match, and might be ugly, but I could care less..
The ornament we got as one of our wedding gifts. I thought it was a great idea for a newly married couple- helping them start off right:)

An adorable ornament with one of our wedding photos printed on to it. I love this!
Haha, now heres what I mean when I say ugly, but who cares;)
The one I bought for us last year because it was our new home<3

Now for some simple money saving tips for decorating the tree:
  • Estate sales will always have the best, cheapest, and most unique and vintage ornaments around. You can't beat what you get there.
  • DIY ornaments
  • Go shopping for everything once the holiday is over, 75% off deals are pretty nice.
  • Dont overcrowd your tree with ornaments. Not only does this actually save you money, but it also allows for the tree to be shown off {which is the best part anyway right?!}

Well, hope you guys like the tree, and the meaningful, yet sometimes ugly ornaments. Christmas is only a couple days away-WOOHOO!

Christmas Decorations

We take Christmas very seriously over here at Dream Book. I love everything about it, the meaning of it, the decorations for it, the family time and memories it creates, etc. Here are some of the decorations we have up over here:

I love these antique reindeer that I got at an estate sale last year.

This tree is perfect to me. It is another purchase from an estate sale, but I bought it because we had almost the identical one in my house growing up. I always loved it as a kid, and now I have my very own:)

Our fun electric fireplace all done up for Christmas.

The pups are really excited its Christmas time too...{looking out the window at their "friends" walking by}

Tomorrow Ill be showing the tree, some money saving tips for decorating, and some ugly ornaments as well:)
