Flowers make me smile
so so big. I love having them in our home, whether J bought them, or me. Obviously its nicer when he buys them..
but I still get a ton of pleasure out of them even if I buy them. Yesterday I went out on a late night grocery run, and decided to pick up two bouquets of flowers, just to make me smile. Overboard a little? Probably! But there is something so special about waking up and seeing flowers on my dresser, on my dining room table, and on the kitchen island. Loveeee...
Whats your two cents on flowers? Do you think that they are worth the money at all times, only want them on special occasions, or don't care to ever have them in your home? I usually fall in the camp of 'only special occasions' but there are times like yesterday where I think its worth it 'just because'!
Happy Friday friends!
<3,
Exactly. I usually don't splurge on them, but every time I do they are a huge pick me up. Flowers always pull together a space for me...plus I need to put something in all of the vintage vases I've been hoarding. xoxo
ReplyDeleteFlowers are nixed in our house ... asthma. But they are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI want to ask about your dining room chairs. Could you show a full photo? Where did you get them? I've been searching for new chairs forever. Thanks.
You should get them almost every other week. We throw away more food than the price of flowers. Flowering plants are nice to get also. Why don't you plant some, or is it too hot? Ann
ReplyDeleteFlowers are an everyday item in my house. I love them. In the summer and fall, I'll buy a bouqet of flowers every Saturday at our local farmers market (because you can get a gorgeous arrangement for $5). Because they last so long, I can rotate them throughout the house.
ReplyDeleteI love having fresh flowers in those pretty blue jars like yours, but I have two naughty kitty cats that eat them. So I have resorted to buying artificial flowers at Hobby Lobby that look and feel like real pink roses (bloomed and buds) for my bedroom and hydrangeas for the kitchen. Now if only they smelled real.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE 'just because' flowers! I really like your colour combinations too. Nothing cheers me up like a sunflower. Here in London we have Columbia Road flower market which is a genuine East Londoners market and the flowers are far too reasonably priced not to treat yourself! I love those jars you have, I don't think that we get them over here. I'm going to have start buying really big jars of pickles instead!!
ReplyDeleteI love "just because" flowers the best... and store bought (of sorts) over the over-priced delivered kind. It always brightens my day and puts a smile on my face :)
ReplyDeleteOoo and ps... I LOVE the lamp shade on the teapot lamp! SO CUTE!!!
ReplyDeleteI love hearing all of your input! Thanks for taking the time to do it! Also, the jars are totally my hoarding obsession. J finally told me that i am not allowed to buy anymore...but i just love them so much!

I have fresh flowers frequently on my kitchen table. It really adds so much to the room. (Especially now that my cat is a little older and will leave the flowers alone--that wasn't always the case.)
