Thanksgiving Name Place Cards

With Thanksgiving being next week I am really starting to kick things in to gear. This weekend specifically will be full of last minute projects {like making the burlap tablecloth, finishing the silverware napkin holders, etc.} but I did get one thing checked off the last this week, with the help of my MIL. She is the queen of scrap booking, no joke. Something that I did not know before doing this project with her was that in order to scrap book 'properly' you need about a million and one gadgets. Im talking paper cutters:

edge design cutters:

50,000 different styles/colors/designs of paper, and so on. This all came in super handy when we went to make the individually named place cards for dinner!

Not gonna lie, I did enjoy stamping out a million little leaves. There is something about miniature stuff that appeals to me:)

Of course I had to take a photo of mine and my loves name together. Yes, its totally dorky, but then again I don't care. I have put more thought in to this Thanksgiving dinner than I could have ever imagined, so I will continue to be a dork and document the whole process;)

Here are the cute little things all finished. The only thing that could have made them better: including my sister and her hubbys name in to the mix {they will be in CO for the holiday:( } Oh and remembering to do a double backing like we wanted and forgot..whoops!

Its times like these that I would kill to have a fun and pretty handwriting. Don't get me wrong, I can write very clean and neat letters, but nothing fun. Bubble letters, block, cursive, really anything..sucks! Happy weekend friends!

  2. Yay! I love this kind of fun dorky side! It's the greatest :) And I think you have nice handwriting. But I'm with ya, I wish I could write cool fun letters lol.

    Have a Happy Thanksgiving! :)

  3. These are so sweet but I'm having a flashback to cutting our thousands of those leaves for a friend's wedding. We used them in place of flowerpetals on the runner and the tables.
