Midcentury Modern House Makeover Update

After having Braylen I haven't left the house too much, so I was so excited this weekend when we took a trip over to our friends home to see the amazing progress on their makeover! SO much has changed, its nuts. I was kind of sad that I missed more of the in between steps, but alas it was still crazy to see it all now.

I have some serious hood and window over the sink envy going on:

I love that they saved as many things from the original house as possible. This is one of the original doors freshly stained. The gold slot: where the mail comes in. I love character like that.

IN LOVE with their master shower!! They have a waterfall style head overhead, and then a normal shower head on the wall.

She even gets a vanity area in the bathroom:)

Master bedroom:

They are geniuses and kept the original copper fireplace, but aged it. Will be posting a tutorial on how they did this later. So easy and so incredible looking!

The beams are freshly stained and sealed:

Their baby boys adorable nursery:

Even the guest bath is rad with subway tile up the walls. They are also re-using the old medicine cabinet in here.

Beautiful bathroom flooring that they got at Floor N Decor, but were smart about it and had they price match it to Amazons pricing! Saved them tons!

The office. The corner is by far my favorite. These white wall tiles have the feeling of a really thick paper plate, but look like actual tile! J saw them on Apartment Therapy and sent the website to Ryan for him to check out. It turned out so cool.

In order to keep the existing closets in the office and nursery they added trim for character!

Their flooring {obviously a little dirty from the reno still} is stunning.

Even though its 100+ outside right now, this pergola they put in will come in handy the rest of the year for sure!

Talk about perfection: They got two of these lights that are actually from an old ship, to hang in the kitchen:

This one is also from an old ship, and will go over the kitchen sink. I wouldn't mind washing dishes over there at all;)

Im pretty dang excited for them to get moved in, for it to get cooler outside, and to spend a million and one nights here hanging out and our baby boys becoming BFF:) Hooray for successfully slowly but surely getting all of our close friends to move in to our neighborhood!

Aren't y'all just in awe as how its coming along?! I cannot wait for it to be finished, so soon!!
