Superbowl Food Recipes: Enter Mouthwatering Here

Ready for a sad but very real truth in my life? I hate football. I take that back, I hate sports in general. Watching them that is... BUT I enjoy the superbowl because I enjoy the food that goes along with the superbowl. Its a day where you barely eat anything healthy, and you have the excuse. I might end up having to work this year during the game and I am pretty bummed about it. That means I will miss out of devouring all of the delicious treats I have seen floating around blog-land. Here are some of the ultimate foods that I would be devouring that day if I can:

Our Best Bites Jalapeno Popper Dip

All Recipes Brown Sugar Smokies

Skinny Taste Buffalo Wings

Skinny Taste Spinach Dip

Nacho Potato Skins

Skinny Taste Taco Dip

Pioneer Woman Deep Dish Fruit Pizza
TPW_9881

Chocolate-Stout Brownies

Love and Butter Football Cakepops

Don't these images make your mouth water?! Some of these recipes to me are staples for the day, and some are some fun add ons. What is a staple to you for game day? Are you like me and love the day for the food, or are you one of those actual humas that enjoys watching the game too?! If i'm not working on game day you better bet that you'll find me stationed right next to the food table..all game long:)

Valentines Day Idea Round-up

I am taking full advantage of the fact that this is the very last year..ever..that I will have a Valentines Day without kid{s} around. Because this is my last, I am not really making any crafts for holidays unless it is something that I really want to have. I feel like from here on out I will not only want to, but will also feel like I need my home to be festive for any and all holidays. Kids change everything! With all of that being said, here are some of the fun things floating around the blogosphere for Valentines Day:

Adorable heart whoopie pies via:

Love letter cookies via:

Valentines day fortune cookies via. I would love to make these and stick cute little love notes inside:

I am in love with this Love You More printable via. This will be so cute for kids lunches, or love letters to J:

Great DIY packaging tips via:

And of course, leave it to I Am Baker to come up with a perfect V-day cake and cookie recipe:

I should not be allowed to look at desserts at night time. In the past 5 minutes I have wanted rice crispy treats, brownies, sugar cookies, and more. Thankfully I have J next to me to make me realize that 10pm is too late to start a batch of anything, so i'll just stick to my go to golden graham cereal. Happy weekend friends!

23 Weeks Pregnant!

How far along: 23 weeks!
Total weight gain: gained 11 lbs total
Maternity clothes: Still just the work pants, although I did just buy a bunch of cheap maternity clothes from Old Navy! Jeans require the hair-tie trick. I love that trick:)
Stretch marks: Just the ones from Christmas Eve on my chest, but still using the amazing tummy stretch mark oil {here} and the chest cream {here}
Sleep: Great, just getting up once a night to go pee. These past two weeks especially I feel exhausted around 4pm, but thankfully get somewhat of a second wind later.
Best moment of this week: Staying a night at Camelback Inn this past weekend. We got time to relax and talk by a firepit for four hours. FOUR hours of uniterrupted quality time..pure bliss.
Miss anything: wine and beer...and being able to run miles at my normal pace. Im thankful i'm still able to run easy, but the slowed down pace is lame.
Movement: Loving how much more often they are happening! I don't think i'll ever get sick of them, that is until they possibly get painful;)
Food cravings: The natural golden grahams ceral craving has taken over.
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope!
Have you started to show yet: Um yes. I feel like in these past two weeks I have literally doubled in size. And my weight also reflects it..4lbs in 2 weeks! Woah.
Gender: Boy!!
Labor signs: none, it will be crazy when I say yes to this.
Belly button in or out: That bad boy is starting to creep out..
Wedding rings on or off: On, on the days that I actually wear them
Happy or moody most of the time: Super happy, especially when I realize that in less than 4 months I get to meet this little stud muffin.
Looking forward to: Just these next few months in general. My brother getting married, J graduating from his MBA program, and meeting our baby boy.

Taking Our Marriage To A New Level

Tomorrow morning marks a new journey for Jeremy and me...we are sharing a closet..for the first time EVER. You see, I have a little problem with hoarding. I hoard clothes. I love buying clothes, and I hate getting rid of clothes, which leaves me with mass amount of clothes. I love this though because I have 'something' for any and ALL occasions. Because I have always been like this, and because J loves me for who I am, he has always been willing to use a closet in another room for his clothes. Even in our apartment with our huge walk in closet, he still used the 2nd bedrooms closet! But lets be honest, its a problem, especially now. With us starting to work on the nursery soon {considering we now have under 4 months until he is here..WHAT!?} J needed to move his clothes out of the future nursery. We have some amazing plans for the nursery closet space..I cannot wait to show y'all.

This was my closet:

Yep, I easily filled up both of those closets. And I have a dresser. And I was totally content not getting rid of anything. BUT things had to change...so yesterday I went to work. I even got rid of some of my precious jeans, I am a total jean snob.

I ended up getting rid of three whole trash bags of clothes. Two are going to Goodwill/Savers, one I am taking to My Sisters Closet, in hopes of getting some money back.

Its amazing just how many freaking hangers you can have extra once you get rid of things. No longer will I be scrounging around in hopes that there is one extra laying on the ground somewhere.

The funny thing is, I thought I would hate this day of getting rid of clothes..but it actually felt good. Especially because there were some items that just needed to go, due to wear, size, practicality, or just flat out ugliness. Lets see, this shirt below was bought by my parents for me..when I was a Freshmen in HS:

This shirt, I bought my freshmen year of college, back when I apparently thought lingerie looking tops were all the rage:

This hat, my sweet sweet hubby bought for me while I was in college. I loved it so much back then, but now it just reminds me of Easter:

Now these shoes hurt the heart a little. I recently bought them at Last Chance and I love them. I however thought that by buying a shoe with such a high arch, I would magically be able to walk amazing in them. I am NOT a high-heel girl, I just plain ol' walk terrible in them. These babies are going to My Sisters Closet.

Anyways, now that you have seen some of my embarrassing clothes that should have been tossed years ago, you should be proud of me. I got rid of enough clothes that I was able to move all of my clothes to one side of my closet, and all of Js to the other.

We.Are.Sharing.Closets.

I think our marriage just went to a whole new level.

Any advice on how to not lose my cool when I see that he has left all of his clothes and shoes scattered everywhere?! Im used to having his mess contained in his closet room, and now it will be in my closet space. Oh the joys of releasing a 'my space' to 'our space'!

Old Navy Saves The Day

In case you haven't heard, i'm pregnant..and getting bigger by the freaking day. Don't get me wrong, I love the way my body is changing, its pretty mind blowing waking up every morning and seeing that my belly button is just a little bit further out than it was the day before. I love that I am physically growing a life inside of me, its so surreal. But along with all those fun things, as your body changes, your clothes change too. I am just about at the point where it is too freaking uncomfortable to use the hair-tie trick with my jeans. Some do still work, but I just am not super comfy in them, and these days- i'm all about the comfort. I normally do about 99% of my clothes shopping at Last Chance , but I have been having a really hard time finding maternity there lately. So when my girlfriend called me the other day and told me Old Navy was having a great sale on their already clearance items I figured it was worth a shot. Normally I am not a huge fan of Old Navy, but for maternity stuff- they have some great basics.

Before I went I googled Old Navy coupons, and found that if you 'like' them on FB, you can print out a $10 off when you spend $50 coupon. You find it under the Reveal a Deal section. Technically you are not supposed to be able to use this coupon on sales items, BUT I found that if you ask nicely, they will at least try to see if the computer will accept it. In my case, it totally worked!

Heres my shopping trip breakdown:

As you can see, one of those items isn't quite my size, but I couldn't resist them! Ugh, I cannot wait to dress this little guy!

The maternity jeans aren't the normal dark wash that I love, but these babys are COMFY and only $11.27, so I scooped them right up.

When I got home I was shocked to see that a lot of the items I got at the store were considerably cheaper than buying them online. This shirt online is $9.97, but I only paid $1.67 after discounts! I made sure to spend just over $50 in order to get the $10 off..and then realized I am terrible at math. While driving home I got to thinking that the price seemed a little steep, especially with the additional 30% off clearance, and my $10 off coupon. I checked the receipt and realized that she had charged me for a pair of leggings that I didn't buy. They were super sweet about it when I called and said they would refund me right away for the leggings, which brought my grand total to : $33!! I got 8 items for $33!! Score!

I guess this shopping trip taught me to not exclude any store other than Last Chance for clothes. Well, at least for maternity clothes..i'll still prob. stick to only LC for everything else:) What stores do y'all find great deals at?
